Isn’t this a great idea for an easy paper quilt? I was so impressed when I saw this colorful display at the Lennox School District in Los Angeles. You could adapt it to a preschool classroom quilt, an afterschool club quilt, a mommy and me group or use this same concept for any group at all.
Simply cut out paper squares, outline the diagonal quilt square lines with a pencil, have participants design their square using markers, oil pastels, or colored pencils. The little white ribbon bows makes it look like a real quilt, since fabric quilts traditionally included little bows like these. Mount on black paper with staples.
Many thanks to the staff at Lennox School District for their inspiration.
